Prebake is a skate video by Bluetile and Fake Junk Grip, built from years of South Carolina skate footage. I created the animations and title design, leaning into the idea of the “prebake”—those raw, half-finished clips skaters love to screen-record before the final edit. It was one of my first forays into 3D with Blender, mixing playful type and VFX textures to match the scrappy, analog vibe of core skate culture.
The identity centered on that in-between moment: type stretching like it’s trapped in an oven window, lo-fi camcorder menus, and a 16:9 frame that nods to on-screen capture. For the premiere, we ran a goofy marketing campaign built around Fake Junk Grip’s humor—fake events, ridiculous claims, and personalized posts for every skater. With everyone sharing, the premiere packed out fast. Prebake is now live on YouTube and Thrasher Magazine.

Me & Irving created these fake headlines for each featured skater and created personal posters and social graphics for them. Created a viral moment where all the guys were excited to share theirs on their story and generated a lot of buzz with each of their audiences on Instagram. ↲
