CUMP for Luke Hodges

2019

Art book for Luke Hodges, to compliment his experimental short film 'CUMP'. 'CUMP' exposes the neo-Confederate myth of General Tecumseh ("Cump") Sherman being the sole perpetrator for the Burning of Columbia after the Civil War— exposing facts about how the devastation was mostly self-inflicted by its citizens. "Their project, like mine, is one of forgetting." The art book is a 2-color Risograph print that features Luke's collaged portraits of Sherman and his 35mm film photography. Additional page collages, layout, and pre-press work by me. Printed by Woolly Press in Asheville, NC.
