The South Carolina Department of Health and Environmental Control (DHEC) is the leading government agency responsible for public health and the environment in South Carolina. Throughout the pandemic, DHEC was tasked with providing South Carolinians with up-to-date information regarding safety protocols, testing guidelines, and vaccination eligibility. DHEC worked with Cyberwoven on a targeted marketing campaign to fight against misinformation about the COVID vaccine.
As part of the Cyberwoven creative team, I conceptualized a visual treatment for a targeted "Mythbusters" campaign— combatting misinformation in the community around the safety and efficacy of the COVID vaccine. With most misinformation spreading through unregulated internet channels and by word-of-mouth, I created a visual treatment that embodied the overstimulating contradictions and information machine around COVID, and the COVID vaccine itself. The campaign ran mainly on social media and Google responsive display, and a second phase of the campaign ran in Spanish as a Google standard display campaign.
