Lancaster County Council for the Arts

Lancaster County Council of the Arts (LCCArts) enriches the quality of life in Lancaster County, South Carolina, by building a vibrant community connecting arts, culture, and economic vitality through education, advocacy, and collaboration. Lacking an updated website and visual identity to inform the design process of a new site build, I created a functional site UI that showcased the breadth of programming, driving users to events and increasing ticket sales, while utilizing a design system that celebrated the organization's vibrant mission.

Project Details

Established in 1977, the Lancaster County Council of the Arts sponsors, facilitates, and encourages cultural, educational, and tourism activities in Lancaster, SC. LCCArts provides public and community benefits for people of every age and background, reflected in their significant achievements over the years which include Partners in Education with the John F. Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts. I worked with UX Designer Luke Hodges to first drive awareness to users of the work that LCCArts does in the community, its mission, and breadth of programming across the county— and secondly, to organize programmatic initiatives, and promote upcoming events. Half UI Project, half brand identity project, LCCArts at the end of the build were given a new digital footprint and foundation for a future branding project for the organization. Web development was done by Sean Taylor of Build Design Company.
